Nadia Brown -
Paediatric Occupational Therapist, B.App.Sc.(OT), MHS(OT), Acc.OT
Nadia is a fully qualified and broadly experienced accredited
occupational therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science
Degree in Occupational Therapy and a Masters of Health Science
Degree in Occupational Therapy, specialising in Paediatrics, both
degrees from the University of Sydney.
Nadia possesses specialist skills in the assessment and treatment of
children with sensory processing difficulties and holds Sensory
Integration Certification.
Nadia's six years of paediatric experience have been across a
variety of settings in New South Wales, Queensland and the United
Kingdom. She has extensive experience in the assessment and
treatment of babies, toddlers, children and adolescents with a wide
range of disabilities and illnesses.
Nadia's passion is working with children with mild to moderate
learning difficulties, developmental delay, sensory processing
difficulties, developmental co-ordination disorders, Autism Spectrum
Disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, and children without a
diagnosis who are experiencing difficulty with activities of daily
living.
Nadia is focused towards the implementation of a collaborative
approach to therapy to achieve the best possible outcomes for
children. This includes close involvement with parents, school
visits to teachers and liaison with other allied health
professionals to ensure therapy programs and recommendations are
implemented across all settings.
Nadia has recently returned to Australia and had to move to the
beach after enduring many rainy days working in the UK!! She is yet
to learn how to surf ... we shall see what happens this summer!
After travelling in Latin America Nadia has a keen interest in
learning Spanish. She loves to say a few words in Spanish or hear
children greet her in different languages!
